Painting Gardners Lane Purple

People at Gardners Lane united with residents, businesses, schools and other groups to take a stand against violence, by wearing purple.  On 10th December 2015, Cheltenham joined countries all over the world in a campaign to end violence towards men, women and children.

Children in Need

BBC Children in Need is the BBC's UK corporate charity. Thanks to the support of the public, they are able to make a real difference to the lives of children all across the UK. Children at Gardners Lane have been busy being superheros for the day to help raise money!

Learning together

Gardners Lane were lucky enough to be joined for a few days by some Dutch teachers and Dr Brown from the University of Gloucestershire. The teachers were here to observe the routines of a typical English school day and the high standards of teaching in PE.

Guide Dog

Every hour, another person in the UK goes blind, which means we need to train more guide dog puppies. Gardners Lane are proud to sponsor a puppy from just £1 a week. We reciecve, regular Pupdates, and have been following our puppy's journey to becoming a life-changing companion for a blind or partially sighted person. His friend even came in to see us!!! Find out how you can sponsor a puppy by clicking on the link.

Wear Dots...Raise Lots!

By wearing dots Gardners Lane have been celebrating braille and helping us to support the 100 people in the UK that every day start to lose their sight. Too many of these people are left alone to cope with this news, and quickly become isolated and depressed. We were even visited by our four legged friend we sponsor! Find out more by clicking on the link.

European day of languages

Gardners Lane celebrated European day of languages. The European Year of Languages 2001, jointly organised by the Council of Europe and the European Union, was successful in involving millions of people across 45 participating countries. Its activities celebrated linguistic diversity in Europe and promoted language learning.

Following the success of the Year of Languages, the Council of Europe declared a European Day of Languages to be celebrated on 26th of September each year. We had great fun learning about different countries and their languages they speek.
