Easter Celebration

We have had some lovely Easter Bonnets designed for our Easter Bonnet competition this year! The children loved creating and sharing different Easter Eggs from around the world.

World Book Day

World Book Day is a celebration! Gardners Lane have been celebrating of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) celebrating reading.


Languages and Culture Week

We have been celebrating Languages and Culture this week at Gardners Lane. We have tasted food, learnt new languages, and dressed up as flags!

Valentines disco

Another fantastic turnout for the Valentines disco, it was lovely to see KS1 and KS dancing away!


Christmas Disco

Wow, what a fantastic turnout for the KS1 and KS2 Christmas Disco, even the teachers and helpers had their dancing shoes on!

Christmas Fair

The children and parents have been having a lot of fun playing a variety of games afterschool today at the Gardners Lane Christmas Fair organised by the PTA. £768 was raised in total!


Christmas Market

Enterprise Club, along with the PTA have been busy making and wrapping gifts ready to sell to the children at the Gardners Lane Christmas Market, even Santa mad an appearance and every child in the school was given a present!

Stories by Candle Light

The PTA organised a lovely ‘Stories by Candle Light’ evening for Key Stage 1 children. They enjoyed a variety of books read by Mrs Griffiths and Mrs Hunt, while eating marshmallows and drinking chocolate milk in a magical atmosphere decorated by fairy lights. The children even dressed up for the occasion in their favourite PJ’s and brought along cuddly toys, blankets and pillows!



Gardners Lane had another successful Harvest Festival in celebration for the food grown on the land. Our Thanksgiving ceremonie was celebrated this year by singing, praying and showcasing work done throughout the classes in the school, focusing on food harvested in the UK. This year our food will be donated to CCP. To find out more please click on the link.

Maths Week

During Maths week children throughout the school have been enjoying Maths in a Suitcase, which is a “hands on” exhibition providing experiments,   investigations and activities for children of all ages, experience, background and ability.


M and M Productions

Over in Nottingham Castle the sheriff is planning his next evil deed; taxes on the poor are to be doubled to fund his wedding to the beautiful Maid Marian.  

Gardners Lane loved watching this production!

Jeans for Genes Day

The monies raised by our school on Jeans for Genes Day will go towards funding a range of initiatives that improve the lives of children affected by a genetic disorder.
